Departing on the 12th May 2018 fly from Heathrow overnight to Tokyo and enjoy 2 nights in the 4* East 21 hotel. Featuring 8 food and beverage options and a large outdoor pool, Hotel East 21 Tokyo is an 8-minute walk from Toyocho Subway Station and offers direct subway access to Otemachi and Nihonbashi in about 10 minutes. The spacious rooms come with free WiFi and are classically furnished and include a minibar, air-conditioning, digital TV, safe and attached bathroom with bathtub and amenities. Access to The East Health Club’s fitness room, indoor swimming pool, sauna and bath are available to guests over the age of 18, for an extra fee. After a good nights sleep, the following morning you’ll join our fantastic Mt Fuji tour, relax as your deluxe coach cruises along a scenic 2.5-hour route to Mt Fuji Visitor Center. Learn about the history and geology of Japan’s highest mountain from your guide and the informational exhibits about the revered mountain. From the second floor observation deck, you can get great views of Mt Fuji on a clear day. After seeing the Visitor Centre, return to your coach and proceed to Mt Fuji’s 5th Station, located about halfway up the mountain at 7,545 feet (2,300m). Take in the shrines, torii gates and shops that sell souvenirs, along with views of Mt Fuji and the surrounding lakes. Soak in the invigorating atmosphere of 5th Station; you might even spot some climbers preparing for their adventure. Then you’ll have time for lunch and after having a bite to eat, drive to nearby Lake Ashi, located in Hakone National Park. Step aboard your boat for a short cruise across the lake. Admire the spectacular scenery of pristine waters surrounded by Mt Komagatake, Mt Fuji and other mountains. Disembark from the boat and head to the Mt Komagatake Ropeway, an aerial tram that takes you from the shores of Lake Ashi to the top of Mt Komagatake. Have time to walk around the mountain top and take in amazing views of Lake Ashi, the Owakudani volcanic valley and majestic Mt Fuji. After visiting Hakone, transfer by coach to the evening bullet train (Shinkansen) and enjoy the ride on this majestic train for your return to Tokyo, where your guide will tell you how to get back to your hotel. The following morning you’ll check out of the East 21 and make your way from Tokyo to nearby Yokohama which is an easy journey of around an hour by train where you’ll embark the MSC SPLENDIDA for an afternoon departure and a 3 night, full board cruise to Shanghai. Relax onboard and enjoy the wonderful facilities the Splendida has to offer, feast on the quality food from the numerous restaurants and outlets, enjoy a drink at one of the many bars, pamper yourself in the Spa and enjoy the great entertainment including Broadway style shows. At the end of your cruise you’ll disembark the Splendida in Shanghai where you’ll enjoy 2 further nights where you can explore this fascinating city from your base at the 4* Rayfont Celebrity Hotel. The Rayfont Celebrity is located in prosperous Xuhui District, a 15-minute walk from the popular Tian Zi Fang. It offers an indoor pool and a restaurant. The cosy rooms of Rayfront are fitted with cable TV, a minibar and tea/coffee making facilities. Each room has en suite bathroom with amenities. The Celebrity offers sauna facilities and massage services. For recreational activities, guests can play a game of billiards in the games room or enjoy a game of tennis at the tennis court. There is also a fitness room on site. The hotel’s restaurant serves a variety of Chinese food and the hotel is only a 5-minute from Metro Line 9 making it easy to access the cities attractions and airport by public transport. .
